Australian Animals

Kangaroos are cute and they bounce around,

Emus run fast and they’re not so easily found.

Koalas hide in trees because they’re slow and sleepy,

Echidnas have spikes that are sharp and creepy.

Dingoes eat meat and they travel in packs,

Platypuses lay eggs but have fur on their backs.

Possums climb trees and they only come at night,

And there are heaps of acorns so Cockatoos never fight!

Australian animals are so strange,

Their behaviours don’t even change!

Silan Received a Gift from Her Buddy

Silan has a buddy who is in year one and always made trouble to her. That made Silan annoying. One day, suddenly, Silan received a gift from her buddy. It was a simple hand craft made by a year one kid, but it made Silan so happy. So it is quite easy to make others happier, with just a smile, a piece of letter… So why shouldn’t we do it often?

Family Story

– Silan’s Presentation

Hi, I am going to talk about a favorite story in my family. Well, it’s not exactly a story, since it’s actually happened before, but my granny told it to me.

This is a story about my uncle.

One afternoon when my granny took my uncle out for a bike ride ( well, there’s actually a child seat at the back of my granny’s bike, so she was basically carrying my uncle on the bike). My uncle saw a coin on the side of the road, but he didn’t tell my granny.  So, my granny kept on pedaling when she suddenly thought the bike got lighter. She looked behind her, and saw my uncle running to catch up with her with a coin in his hand!

What really happened is, that my uncle actually jumped off the bike to get the coin!

As I said, this is a real story, so my uncle did actually jump off the bike to get the coin.

Guys, don’t try this at home. It’s not a good idea at all, but the amazing thing is, my uncle didn’t even get a scratch jumping off the bike. And if you do happen to see something similar on the side of the road, make sure you tell someone. Or you’d probably be thinking what happens if you’re on your own bike, but pretty much the same thing, unless you’re on your own.

Thanks for listening.

The King’s Hare

There once was a king who had a hare,

It was really expensive and rare.

It bounced around,

and when it was found,

It was playing in a dragon’s lair.
